Zach Veach said being a part of a race team who is venturing into Formula E could be positive for his future.
With only a couple weeks before the first Formula E race ever, Andretti Autosport Indy Lights driver Zach Veach has shown his interest for the purely electric series.
On the shoulders of three wins and four pole positions, Veach finished third in the Indy Lights championship this year.
“There’s definitely interest. You know anything Andretti is doing I would like to get in a possibly drive,” said Veach during Tribute Racing’s weekly radio show.
“I think Formula E (has) a good message behind it and it’s possibly going to be the future of racing here in a few years, so we just gotta keep our mind open.”
With Andretti Autosport yet to announce their second driver, Veach hope’s his performance on the Indy Lights tour might help him into another race car soon.
“I would love to go over there and test the car and wee what it’s like. I was a little weary to go over there a couple weeks ago (for) the test because I didn’t want to really switch gears from Indy Lights and have to adjust to a new car.”
