Ni Amorim returns to the FIA GT Championship with Paul Belmondo Racing
Ni Amorim made his return to the FIA GT Championship with Paul Belmondo Racing at the Donington round. Even though Ni Amorim had not raced a Viper GTS-R since the ALMS Milleniun Race in Adelaide in 2000, he quickly found himself at ease in the car, qualifying in 9th position for the race.
The race went well, and with good pit strategy and speed on the track, a 3rd place overall result was the reward for a weekend of hard work and consistency.
Ni Amorim has dovetailed selected appearances in the FIA GT Championship with the Spanish GT Championship at the wheel of a Meycom Motorsports Marcos LM 600.
Ni Amorim's results so far this year include two poles, one second and two overall wins in the Spanish GT Championship, as well as a class win (N-GT, Magny Cours), a third place overall (Donington) and a third in class (GT) at the Rolex Daytona 24hrs.
Ni Amorim's next races will be at Jerez, Spanish Gt Championship on October 13th, followed by the last FIA GT round at Estoril in Ocober 20th, and the final round of the Spanish GT Championship at Barcelona in November 10th.
