Damax turn up the heat in Dijon test
British team Damax showed their intention in the FIA GT3 European Championship by posting the 3rd fastest time in the latest FIA test at Dijon with the new Ascari KZ1 race car. The team have been developing the Ascari in preparation for its debut at Silverstone on May 5,6 & 7.
Damax were represented at the test by Richard Stanton and Aaron Scott with official FIA test driver Christophe Bouchut also driving the car to assess its performance to help the FIA with its equalisation programme to even the performance of the cars. Bouchut was impressed with the car commenting, "It's a nice car, well balanced and easy to drive."
The new FIA GT3 European Championship is shaping up for a fantastic season with 51 cars entered from 9 different manufacturers.
Damax have also announced the signing of Ben Collins to join Nick Adams, Richard Stanton and Aaron Scott. The team have 2 seats remaining in the final car and is keen to hear from drivers interested in driving this season.
Team boss Robin Ward said, " We are very pleased with the progress we have made with the car. I must Thank my team for all their hard work, we think we are in good shape for the season ahead and look forward to the first race at Silverstone on a circuit we all know very well."
