Matteo Bobbi is ready to prove himself as a front line driver in Brno Again
After their triumph in Barcelona, Magny-Cours and Pergusa, team-mates Matteo Bobbi and Thomas Biagi are in the lead with full points and have become the team to beat. In virtue of their three wins and according to the regulations, the car will have 100 kg of handicap weight. Matteo Bobbi who will have the priority this time round, will compete during the qualifications and for 2/3rds of the race with a clear disadvantage in respect to the other cars.
The Brno race track is 5.403 m long and is about 200 km away from Prague in the Czech Republic. Today's track which had a makeover in 1987, includes a good variety of fast and slow corners and numerous uphill and downhill sections.
"This race track is new to me since I've never had the opportunity to race here before. However, they tell me that this track slightly favours the Ferraris. Despite this, we have to take into consideration that we have the 100 kg of handicap weight that makes our car very heavy. I'm going to Brno will leadership is mind but this doesn't mean that I'm counting all the points to my advantage. There are still many races left to go in this championship and I don't have objectives that are too ahead of the game. I'd rather concentrate on this race so I can give my 100% ."
