British independent racing team Graham Nash Motorsport (GNM) plans to be back to full strength next weekend, by running both of its Saleen S7-Rs in the seventh round of the FIA GT Championship at Anderstorp. Driver Ni Amorim also makes a welcome return, having missed out on the last round in Spa when the team opted for a single car, four-driver line-up.
The team is also feeling bullish about its chances after the summer break, with Brazilian Thomas Erdos hitting top form last weekend. While competing in the 1000km British GT Championship at Spa as a guest driver in the Balfe/Derbyshire Mosler, Tommy qualified impressively in pole position, and led until the final lap when he ran out of fuel - agonisingly close to the finish.
Said GNM's team manager Gordon Davies: "With both our cars - the No7 of Erdos and Newton and No8 of Ramos, Chaves and Amorim - in contention, we expect to post a strong performance at Anderstorp to add vital points to our Championship tally."
