The picturesque and challenging Circuit Mont Tremblant hosted Ferrari Racing Days – the only event of its kind in North America – this past weekend.

Ferrari Racing Days brings together the Corse Clienti motorsports programs at thsame track, creating an environment that’s as thrilling for participants as it is for the friends, family and fans of Ferrari that gather to celebrate the Prancing Horse. In addition to 21 Ferrari 458 Challenge Evoluzione cars competing in the fifth event of the 2014 North American Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli, the F1 Clienti and XX Programmes also took to Circuit Mont Tremblant. The sights and sounds of several Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 cars, as well as examples of the FXX and 599XX, made for a unique symphony of Italian motor music .

Saturday brought a pair of first-time winners to the podium. Emmanuel Anassis (Ferrari of Quebec, in photo) from nearby Montreal, turned his pole position into victory after leading every lap of the race. He was closely followed by fellow Canadian Ryan Ockey (Ferrari of Ontario) and Carlos Gomez (Ferrari of San Francisco) to complete the Trofeo Pirelli podium.

Making his Ferrari Challenge season debut, Carlos Conde (Miller Motorcars) took honors in the Coppa Shell class. He withstood pressure throughout the race from Jon Becker (Ferrari of Beverly Hills) and Chris Ruud (Ferrari of Beverly Hills), who finished second and third.

Sunday’s pair of Ferrari Challenge races saw Ricardo Perez (Ferrari of Houston) score a narrow victory after race-long pressure from Anassis Perez’s flag-to-flag win was his fifth of the year, allowing him to build his championship lead. For the second day, Ockey finished on the podium with a third position.

Teammates Ruud and Becker finished first and second in the Coppa Shell class, as well as a strong sixth and seventh overall. Third in class was Carlos Conde (Miller Motorcars). Of special note was driver Erich Cheung (Ferrari of Ft. Lauderdale), who became the first and only driver to have participated in all of the Ferrari Challenge series – Italy, Europe, North America and Asia Pacific.

The next round of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli will be on July 11-13, at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.
