Lexington, Ohio, May 21st. -- Kevin Lacroix, the promising young driver form St-Eustache, Quebec, won his second race in the Formula BMW USA this afternoon after taking the start from fourth place. It took Lacroix only four laps to overtake third and second place starters and find himself behind pole sitter Richard Philippe. Then the pace car slowed the race was down for an accident. Then Richard Philippe had an incident with the pace car and was given a black flag, ordering him a visit in the pit lane. When the race resumed, Lacroix sailed to another checkered flag, his second in only three professional races. American John Davison was second while Belgium Maxime Soulet settled for third. Lacroix now enjoys a 16-point lead over Soulet, 55 points to 39.

Front-row start in second race Sunday

Lacroix will start the second race of the double header from first row, beside Philippe who has won every pole so far. The race is scheduled for 10h30 Sunday morning.
