Encouragement for Jeffrey Petriello!

The young Canadian recruit of the Formula BMW USA series, Jeffrey Petriello of the 24 Power Drink team, experienced difficulty this past week-end at his races after qualifying 12th and obtaining a seventh place finish before his second race where he did not participate due to mechanical problems at the time of the warm up lap.

"Although I am placed second in the rookie championship, I fell into tenth place in the general standings after starting the season in fourth. My objective was to finish in the top five this season, but reality caught up with me and we as a team are struggling to have the car cross the finish line," explained the driver from Terrebonne vaguely.

"Although the team has recovered a fourth driver, services offered for preparation has diminished as well as the availability to the driver but the invoice remains the same because we pay to develop the driver above all," explains Jeffrey's father who recently understood what Maxime Pelletier, driver of the BMW series, experienced before changing teams.

San Jose Grand Prix

2007 recruit Jeffrey Petriello, who is usually fast and constant, experienced a difficult week-end because of his car. He qualified 12th at the time of both qualifying sessions and he had to watch the second race from the bleachers as his car failed during the warm up lap. His only satisfaction was during his first race where he skillfully moved up to seventh place and collected a few points which where greatly appreciated.

With four races to go until the end of the season and the last race close to his hometown nearest Mosport the 24, 25 and 26th of August, Jeffrey hopes to find a little more serenity inside his team where the confidence level has diminished drastically.
