Morad celebrates first podium as Red Bull Junior at San Jose
Announces launch of new web site
With four races to go in the Formula BMW USA series, 17-year-old Daniel Morad is savouring every podium appearance in his quest for the 2007 championship. With five wins and three second-place finishes through ten races, Morad is looking to end the season strong as the newest addition to the Red Bull Junior Team. He will have a chance to add to his win total this weekend, August 10-12 at the famed Road America circuit in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.
The 2006 series rookie champion, Morad has amassed five victories in his #70 Eurointernational entry so far in 2007, the most by any Formula BMW USA driver in a single season. Combined with a trip to the top step last year Daniel also has the most victories of any driver surpassing good friend and fellow Red Bull Junior, Robert Wickens who was crowned series champion in 2006.
With the race coming up this weekend, Daniel took some time to finalize plans for the launch of his new web site. "We have been working on this for a few months" noted Daniel, "but with a number changes since the beginning of the season like the move to Eurointernational and being selected for the Red Bull Junior Team program, we had to delay the launch but Chris Jameson of Level Ten Communications has been updating our old site with the latest race reports and new photo galleries. We are now happy to have Chris launch the new design and continue with his race weekend updates."
The new web site currently features a radio interview with Erik Tomas of Raceline Radio, an extensive photo gallery from the San Jose race and an archive of recent race reports. There are plans to offer a range of new features for Daniel's fans who will want to follow his racing career.
Daniel is on track at Road America starting Thursday August 9 for open practice with two qualifying sessions and both races taking place Friday through Sunday.
