The Formula BMW Asia 2007 Driver and Team Classifications have been amended. The amended results mean that Jazeman Jaafar of Malaysia is declared the winner of the 2007 Formula BMW Asia Driver Classification, while CIMB Team QI-Meritus takes the Team Classification.

Following a Steward's Decision after the final round of the 2007 season, Team CIMB Team Qi-Meritus and its driver Jazeman Jaafar were penalised based on evidence of a technical infringement and excluded from the results in accordance with the Series Regulations.

CIMB Team QI-Meritus subsequently lodged an appeal against the Steward's Decision with the FASC (Chinese ASN - governing motorsport authority for the race meeting). As the ASN did not conduct a hearing within the required 30 day period, the Federation Internationale de L'Automobile (FIA) held that a competitor shall not be excluded without due process.

While in February the FIA pointed out that it is highly unsatisfactory that no Appeal took place, the FIA requested the Organiser to amend the results as a consequence of this procedural irregularity.
