Subsequent to post-race scrutineering, the cars of Josef Kral (Mucke-Motorsport) and Jonathan Legris (Motaworld Racing) have been excluded from the final race results at the Formula BMW World Finals for failing to meet the Formula BMW technical regulations.

As a result, Marco Wittman is promoted to second place and Jens Klingmann, the German Formula BMW series champion, to the third and final podium position. Sebastian Saavedra, the top Formula BMW USA driver, moves to fourth.

For Kral, this is the second time he has finished second in the Formula BMW World Final, and the second time he has been disqualified from that position; he met the same fate last year, driving for, at that time, Josef Kaufmann Racing. Unfortunately for the young Czech ace, switching teams produced exactly the same result as last year: disqualification from second place.
