MILLROY AND MOTAWORLD SOLID IN SEPANG

British MSA Race Elite Academy teenager Ollie Millroy completed his first 2009 test session with Kent based Motaworld Racing today and posted a lap time six tenths of a second quicker than the pole time set at last year's Asian Pacific Formula BMW race. The 2008 BMW junior development driver completed two very constructive days of testing on the Sepang Grand Prix circuit, in temperatures of 38C and declared the two days 'very solid'.

"The team and I work very well together and considering I haven't been in a Formula BMW car since the world final in Mexico, at the beginning of December, we were more than happy with the lap times," said Ollie. "Although I was quick when we put new tyres on, we know where we can still find a bit more time, so if I race here in April I should be mega quick."

"The team start building the new cars up when they get back to the UK next week and as soon as they are finished we will shake them down on a UK circuit before we start the official testing in March. It's never easy to win when you're racing against some of the best young racing drivers in the world but I know what I have to do and I intend doing it. It's a good feeling to start the season in a good car and we will be ready for the first race of Formula BMW Europe, which takes place alongside the Spanish Grand Prix, in Barcelona on 9th and 10th May 2009."

Ollie's next outing will be some unofficial testing in the UK in February before the first official test on 2nd -- 3rd March in Barcelona.
