Facu Regalia will take part in 2010 in the Formula BMW Europe, where he will try to fight for the top positions and show in the track the experience that he gathered in the last few seasons.
The promising Spanish-Argentinean young driver will race in the Formula BMW Europe 2010 season, after reaching an agreement to seat in one of the Eifelland Racing cars, one of the strongest teams in the field and with profound experience with the Mygale FB02. The 18 years old youngster will be for the third time in one of the Europe hardest singleseaters competition, which has a high level of driving, imposing itself as one of the most important junior championships.
The Argentinean young gun debuted in the championship in 2008 with the Eurointernational team, ending the season as the best rookie, and with a good participation in the BMW World Final, at Mexico, where he finished tenth in car prepared by Josef Kaufmann Racing. The 2009 season would be harder for Facu Regalia but, even with the problems that he had, he finished seventh, showing the strength of his character. In the end of the season he took part in a couple of weekends of the Formula BMW Asia and his driving quality was clearly shown with two dominant wins at Okayama. At Macao, one of the hardest street circuits in the world, he was the fastest in the practice against some of the best European drivers.
The pre-season has already started for the Spanish-Argentinean driver and it started in a good way. In a test at the Portuguese circuit of Braga, Facu Regalia ended the week with the best time of all the drivers at the track, beating comfortably in the process the circuit record for these cars.
After the Braga test Facu Regalia was very pleased with his first contact with his new team: "the relationship with the team is great. We had a week test and the development work went in the good direction".
The eighteen years old driver will have an intensive physical program during the next month so we may be in good shape at March, when he will have the official tests organized by BMW. The first race of the season will be held at Circuit de Catalunya, during the Spanish Grand Prix. Facu Regalia is very committed to the new season and his aim is the top of the field: "I feel stronger than ever and with the will to fight for the championship or, at least, to end in the first positions of the drivers tables".
