Facu Regalia keeps the good momentum
Facu Regalia was among the fastest drivers in today's Formula BMW Europe test at Hockenheim and signed the second fastest lap time in the morning and the third in the afternoon.
The Spanish-Argentinean began to show at Circuit de Catalunya, he first round of the season, that he is a strong contender this season and, after a good test at Hungaroring last week, he impressed again today. In the first day of the Hockenheim test he was a reference in the track, imposing a strong pace along the journey.
The eighteen years old driver showed is competitiveness since he tackled the track and signed the second fastest time, after leading the timesheets for long moments. "Everything is going very well! I'm very pleased with the team's work. I was the fastest for long moments, but in the end I lost 0,030s for the fastest driver", said Facu Regalia.
In the afternoon some drivers used the escape roads to get a time, but Facu Regalia kept himself as one of the fastest drivers on track. The Spanish- Argentinean signed the third fastest time and was, as usually, the fastest among the Eifelland Racing drivers. "We decided to use a new set of tyres in the afternoon, because it's expected rain for tomorrow. I was the third fastest, three tenths from the fastest, though I had to abort my first flying lap in new rubber because of a slower driver", explained Facu Regalia, who was very pleased with how the day progressed.
For tomorrow, with rain or not, the eighteen years old driver wants to improve again: "mainly in the second sector, where I believe we can improve one tenth, and, that way, taking advantage from the third sector, where I'm the fastest".
