Facu Regalia overcomes a hard day

Facu Regalia was the seventh fastest in the first day of the Barcelona Formula BMW Europe test. It was a tough day for him after a difficult night with gastroenteritis.

The Hispanic-Argentinean driver was today at Circuit de Catalunya preparing the 2010 Formula BMW Europe season. However, Facu Regalia had to overcome huge difficulties to sign the seventh time, loosing just seven tenths to the fastest. He was the fastest within Eifelland Racing, though he completed just twenty laps.

The last night and this morning were very hard for the young driver with a strong gastroenteritis putting him in the bed in very bad shape. He tried to recover so he could be in good form for tomorrow, but in the afternoon he was feeling much better and decided to get in the car. "I would like to be in the track all day, so we could set up the car well for tomorrow. That's why I decided to go to the circuit in the afternoon, though I had a hard headache and the team told me to stay in the hotel", said the Hispanic- Argentinean driver after today's session.

The test proceeds tomorrow at Montmelo and Facu Regalia expects to be at his best so he may take part in this important session, because the 2010 Formula BMW Europe Championship, one of the most selective singleseater competitions, will start in this circuit at May 7th, 8th and 9th.
