GU-RACING Team with new drivers in the second season-half.
Not only Formula 1 driver Christian Albers lost his job on Monday. Nikoley Verbitzaliev will not race for GU-RACING Team in Formula BMW anymore. This published team-manager Gunther Unterreitmeier on Monday. The Bulgarian couldn't fulfil his contract-conditions and it came to disputes with the environment of the 17-years old. The reason for the decision of Gunther Unterreitmeier was a situation at Norisring finally. Persons of the environment of Verbitzaliev approached race director Sven Stoppe, because of they didn't want to accept a penalty.
"It was too much at Norisring. I want to distance from this behaviour and I decided to throw him out of the team now. I didn't see any progress and any potential at Nikoley, on top he couldn't fulfil his contract-conditions," said team-manager Gunther Unterreitmeier after his decision. It was the first time that GU-RACING had to throw out a driver in this style.
GU-Racing will race the second season-half with 2 drivers more: The young German Florian Schwarzenbilder and Otto Birznieks from Latvia. Birznieks is leader of FORMULA EUROPA by Liqui Moly at the moment, Schwarzenbilder is third in this championship. Because of the rules both could just enter at the race with DTM at Nurburgring. "I am happy to enter in Formula BMW. Because of I am driving collateral in FORMULA EUROPA by Liqui Moly, its just possible at Nurburgring. Nevertheless we will test with GU-RACING before.", said 15-years old Schwarzenbilder.
Next weekend will be the next race-weekend of Formula BMW with Formula 1 at Nurburgring, this time with the GU-RACING drivers Max Wissel, Jens Hoing and Carlos Gaitan. "Our cars are fast enough for the front. I am very motivated at the F1 - so my aim is a podium.", presented Hoing confidently himself.
