Adrien Tambay - The famous name returns

Adrien Tambay, the 16-year old son of F1 Grand Prix winner, Patrick, begins his single-seater career this weekend, at the opening round of the Formula BMW (FBMW) Deutschland championship at Oschersleben, Germany.

Identifying the ultra-competitive FBMW Deutschland series as offering the best opportunity to gain experience and knowledge at this stage of his career, Tambay has signed with 2006 champions, JK Racing, who have also engineered current A1GP champion Nicolas Hulkenberg to previous championship success in this category.

FBMW Deutschland supports the high-profile DTM and WTCC championships, as well as the prestigious F1 German GP at the Nurburgring. In such prominent company, Tambay will experience F1 GP circuits, as well as ensuring he's in front of some of the most influential people within the sport.

Already displaying his potential, Tambay has been selected as one of only four drivers to win a highly sought after place on BMW's Young Driver Scholarship Programme for 2007, and as a scholarship winner, will benefit from valuable training and expertise which is vitally important at this early stage of his career.

Racing with the iconic No.27, as did his GP-winning father, Tambay has support from Dutch property group, Hugenholtz, Motors TV, and Moulin Rouge, who are now enjoying their 25th year of partnership with the Tambay family.
