For Raffaele Giammaria the F.I.A. F.30 00 German GP's week end began well: the Italian driver, despite he didn't know the new Hockenheim track, was immediately one of the fastest drivers in the free "practice, lapping only 2 tenths off Giorgio Pantano using old tyres.

During the Friday qualifying session, due to a nasty understeer, Raffaele unfortunately couldn't improve his time like his opponents did and so he earned the 12th position, confirming however the good qualities of Durango's car. After the lights, Raffaele Giammaria immediately made up two positions on the first corner thanks to a superb start. Raffaele didn't lose his cold blood when Pantano and Toccacelo collided and he was able toescape from the clash, avoiding the other cars.

Giammaria fought during the whole race in the middle of the field, lapping like the race leaders and attacking his opponents: but overtaking in the field isn't"very easy, especially in Hockenheim, and Raffaele had to finish tenth, very close to the points.

Raffaele in race proved to be one of the most constant drivers, not making the smallest mistake and gathering precious experience.

Now Raffaele will give 100% in order to get points in drivers standings in the two last races of the Championship, next date on August 22nd and 23rd at
