On his second day with Coloni Motorsport's Lola, Nico Rosberg set again another amazing time (1.32.57) at Jerez, worth of the second place in the day 2 of F.I.A. Formula 3000 International official test. Rosberg utilized only one set of new tyres in the morning and he lapped with race setup; tomorrow Nico will run instead with qualifying setup.
The young Finnish driver improved considerably the time obtained yesterday and is currently only a few hundredths off the best time. Nico Rosberg, Formel BMW Champion in 2002 and frontrunner of F3 Euro Series this year, confirms then himself as the best rookie of this test session, thanks also to the very good job done by Coloni Motorsport.
The second Lola of the Italian team has been entrusted to another young and talented driver, who had taken the podium in Cagliari Gp a few days ago: Norbert Siedler, hope of the Austrian motoring, stopped the chronometer on 1.33.97, achieving the fifth time, but however very close to the third.
Norbert Siedler was born on December 29th 1982 in Wildschoenau in Tyrol (Austria), has a really good past as kart driver and obtained good result in Formula 3 too.
In the afternoon an extra session of private tests for twenty minutes was carried out, upon request of the Arden team that ran with Nelson Piquet Junior, who with new tyres obtained a 1.34.40, but was once again Nico Rosberg the dominator of the session, with a time of 1.33.52.
