Coloni Motorsport completed the Barcelona (E) Super Test, focusing on evaluete the best four young Italian drivers. All the drivers impressed the Team and scored the best times on the track in all diferrent conditions.

Liuzzi was fastest with the rain on wednesday, lapping in a good 1'48"71, over 2" faster than all the other drivers testing on the Catulunya circuit. Liuzzi topped also the times on thursday afternoon in dry conditions, completing an excellent job with the Team. The former F. Super A World Champion improved each testing session and Coloni Motorsport is extremely satisfied with the work did by Liuzzi in Imola, Misano and Barcelona.

Matteo Grassotto set many fastest times and demonstrated great talent and an excellent driving style. The Italian driver, managing by former F.1 driver Gianni Morbidelli, imprresed the Team in wet conditions and was able to find immediately the feeling with the car and the track. Matteo is a technical driver and He confirmed his capability and his great potential.

Alex Piccolo, who run in the first day, took the 4th overall time of the testing session, just in the first outing with the Team's Lola on tuesday afternoon. Piccolo emerged as a fast and professional driver and drove very constant and quick in wet conditions.

Davide Di Benedetto was the youngest Italian driver tested by Coloni Motorsport, but the Sicilian driver didn't suffered the big power of the Lola B2/50-Zytek and registered an exceelent time on thursday afternoon, after just few laps with the new car. Di Benedetto demonstrated a technical approach and and felt confident with the car. The Team was happy about his performances and the telemetry data showed the good potential and the talent of the young Italian driver.

All the Italian drivers completed the Super Test without any mistakes and gave important technical indication to the Team. Coloni Motorsport wished to thank you Scuola Federale CSAI and Autosprint for the possibility to test such talented drivers and will do the maximum effort to offer to one of the Italian drivers the chance to participate in the prestigious FIA F.3000 International Championship next year.
