Chicago, IL---The United States Formula Three Championship Powered by Volkswagen will be heading to Sears Point, California, for rounds 8 and 9 on Saturday October 14, and Sunday October 15. Stuart Crow, of Dallas, Texas, leads the Championship with 107 points. Crow, who has won three races; one at Tulsa and two at Memphis, will be behind the wheel of his DM Racing Ralt F3/2000, looking for win number four to pad his championship lead. Adam Andretti, of Brownsburg, Indiana, who won the opening round in the series, needs a strong finish to stay in contention for the championship. Andretti trails Crow by 14 points with 93 points. Andretti drives the Duesenberg Brothers Racing/Western Union Dallara F300. George Frazier, of Louisville, Kentucky, has been a consistent performer in his Arcadia Motorsports, Limited Dallara F300. Frazier lies third in the point standings with 77 points. Skip Weld of Sorrento, Florida, is 4th in the point standings with 69 points. Weld pilots the Weldsports Dallara F300. Luciano Gomide, of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, has dominated the last three races scoring three easy wins for the Eurointernational team. The young Brazilian won both races at Quebec City and a single round at Watkins Glen. Gomide is currently in 5th place with 63 points. To date, seven entries have been received for the Sears Point rounds. The USF3 championship moves to San Diego, California, on November 4 and November 5. Internacional (Mexican) Formula Three Championship will accompany USF3 at the final two rounds of the 2000 season.
