Racing Engineering enters the first round of the 2003 Spanish Formula 3 Championship with four new drivers.

The first round of the 2003 Spanish Formula 3 Championship will take place this weekend at the circuit of Albacete, Spain. Racing Engineering is participating with four cars this season and the drivers are Pedro Barral (Spain), Ricardo Mauricio (Brazil), Lourenco da Veiga (Portugal) and Dennis Furchheim (Germany).

Ricardo Mauricio is a 24 year old driver from Brazil. Since 1999 he has been with the Red Bull Junior Team in Formula 3000 and before that in British Formula 3. Pedro Barral is an 18 year old driver from Spain. He was two times Spanish Karting champion. Lourenco da Veiga is a 23 year old driver from Portugal. His experience includes European Formula Renault, Portuguese BMW championship (vice-champion) and Karting. Dennis Furchheim is an 18 year old driver from Germany. His past experiences include German Formula Renault and Karting.

With these four Formula 3 drivers and its World Series Nissan drivers Bas Leinders (Belgium) and Stephane Sarrazin (France), Racing Engineering does not only have drivers with diverse backgrounds but believes it has the right mix of youth and experience to defend both its titles of Team Champions in both championships this season.
