Double victory for Corbetta at Mugello

30/06/2007 -- The lack of victories of Corbetta team finished today at Mugello in race one whereby Fabrizio Cristani concluded ahead of his team mate Mirko Bortolotti. Pablo Sanchez Lopez obtained the third place of the podium.

Gloomy day for Paolo Maria Nocera, disqualified in the middle of the race for causing an accident and the subsequent retirement of Giuseppe Termine, while Nocera was coming back on track after an excursion out of the track.

Efisio Marchese keeps the lead of the classification with 53 points, he is followed by Mirko Bortolotti with 44 and by Nocera with 41.

Matteo Cozzari won CSAI trophy race. Race two will begin tomorrow at 12 o' clock.

Fabrizio Crestani (Team Minardi by Corbetta)
"Finally I got the victory I was pursuing for a long time. I got a good start, but it was not easy at all, since Bortolotti kept a very high rhythm and I therefore needed to push for the whole race long. This can be the turning point of our season".

Mirko Bortolotti (Team Minardi by Corbetta)
"This is another great result in my first year in Formula 3. I had a very good start and at the first corner I almost could get on the first position, but then I did not have any other chance to aim at the victory. I also scored the best lap, another point which can be very useful in the classification that at the moment sees myself in second position."

Pablo Sanchez Lopez (Alan Racing)
"The race did not go as I expected. I lost some positions at the start and in a fast track like this one it was almost impossible to recover. I believe that we will amuse ourselves again from tomorrow on".
