Final preparation for the new season

Just a few days are left before the first free practice session that this Friday, at the Mugello racetrack, will officially open the Italian Formula 3 Championship.

Lucidi Motors, champion last year with Paolo Maria Nocera, will line up three single seaters in the new season. Aside the young Giovanni Nava, that will live his Formula 3 debut, Francesco Castellacci will exploit the experience gained last year in the English championship, while Mirko Bortolotti will have the target of outperforming the good results achieved in 2007.

Gabriele Lucidi (Team Manager):

"Finally, after all this work, one of the fullest championships of the last years is about to begin. I foresee a tight season, with seven-eight drivers that can fight for the title; some outsiders will certainly aim at single successes too.

"We decided to line three single seaters up for three new drivers: Nava and Castellacci had the chance to test a lot during pre-season sessions, while Bortolotti had the chance to lap only last Friday at Varano. Our work throughout the season will be focused on the formation of drivers and we hope this will end up in the highest possible number of successes".
