Edenbridge signs Simon
German F3 driver, Norman Simon, has signed with Edenbridge for the 1999 F3000 series. Peter Briggs, boss of the team, said "people might not expect much from Norman because he had a tough time last season, but he has adapted well to the increase in power and he was genuinely quick at Monza."
Bell set to move to F3
Doug Bell looks set to move up to F3 this year. He was runner up in the British Formula Renault series last season. He is expected to test a 98 car at Jerez this weekend.
Ralt passes crash test
The new Ralf F3 car has completed its crash test. Gearbox testing is due to take place on an airfield soon.
Knockhill loses, Donington gains UKF3000 race
Knockhill has lost the UKF3000 race it had, due to the circuit not being modified in time for the high-spec cars. A second date at Donington Park is expected in its place.
Brit F3 star to move back to National Class
Martin O'Connell is set to stay with Rowan Racing and so move back to National Class in F3. He won the class in 1997, and is being forced back due to lack of funds.
Fortec announce drivers
Fortec have said that their F3 drivers for this season are Kristian Kolby and Matt Davies.
