Well folks the time is here after a long break, the start to another season of fierce & competitive racing.

It looked like it was going to be a great starting grid from the initial number of entrants,

10 AF2 cars but unfortunately to unknown forces and pure bad luck only 6 cars made it to the grid for qualifying.

Anthony Wood / Ryan Morrow & Greg Hunter had to withdrawal simply because their cars were not ready and Stewart Riach had to pull out at the last minute due to a blown engine on Friday practice, but we hope to see them and more on the grid at Wakefield Park for the Easter weekend.

SATURDAY 15 - QUALIFYING:

15 minute qualifying session saw Ted Dunford take poll position with a time of 1.34.99

Almost 2 seconds ahead of Kevin Lewis with a 1.36.84, Craig Dawson took 4th position just behind one of the Super sports. Then Tom Brickley in 6th, Terry Robertson and Ron Coath close behind considering a few mechanical problems. All were under the 1min 45 mark. Well done guys.

RACE 1 - 5 LAPS

Race one was a clean start and Ted Dunford streaked away to a commanding lead and a comfortable win, with Kevin Lewis not far behind in 2nd.

Craig Dawson had a great battle with a couple of the super sports and managed a respectable 4th; Terry Robertson had a distributor problem and had to return to the Hilton.

Whilst Tom Brickley did not make the start due to Ignition dramas and Ron Coath called his weekend to an end after qualifying because of those unknown forces.

SUNDAY 16 - RACE 2 - 7 LAPS

Race 2 saw Ted Dunford once again take a commanding lead and win by almost a huge 10 second margin from 2nd place.

Terry Robertson sorted out his distributor problem to take 3rd from the rear of the field.

(Way to go Terry, a Drive of the year contender.)

Craig Dawson followed closely for 4th.

Kevin Lewis saw his first Black Flag of the year and Stop-Go penalty for jumping the start, rejoining at the rear of the field.

He must have been seeing red after that because he set a blistering pace to break a personal best time at Eastern Creek and a well deserved 5th. (Well done Kevin that drive will defiantly be a contender for Drive of the year.) "Two in one race, Wow."

Tom Brickley rejoined the field to finish close behind Kevin. (Good effort by the Brickley Crew.)

RACE 3 - 7 LAPS

Race 3 was an awesome performance by all with the lead changing several times but know one was going to stop Kevin Lewis who was on a mission from God winning over Ted Dunford by .2 hundredths of a second, but not without a fight.

Ted had an unlucky start with clutch problems and came back through the field like they were standing still, one more lap and he would have taken out the hat Rick.

Craig Dawson took 3rd, Terry Robertson 6th and Tom Brickley rounded up the field.

All in all a great effort by all who managed to get through the weekend.

The final result by points score
1st Ted Dunford
2nd Kevin Lewis
3rd Craig Dawson
Terry Robertson 4th
Tom Brickley 5th

Well Gods speed to all of you trying to get your cars ready, we will love to see you make it to Wakefield Park. "The more the merrier"
