WALKER READY TO TAKE THE NEXT STEP AT SPA

Jersey, UK -- 10 August 2007: James Walker arrives in Belgium next week for rounds eight and nine of the 2007 World Series by Renault. After taking his best result of the season last time out at Budapest, James is fired up and ready to race hard at a circuit he loves: Spa!

If there is one race track that separates the men from the boys it is Spa-Francorchamps. The circuit that runs through the Ardennes in Belgium is a classic combination of fast undulating turns, quick-changing weather conditions and a history packed with tales of endeavour and bravery. Famous for the legendary Eau Rouge and fearsome Blanchimont corners, the Spa circuit is a favourite of almost every driver who has raced there and has been described by Michael Schumacher as "the best circuit in the world".

"This is the race I have been looking forward to all year," said James. "I love racing at Spa and I think it's going to be a massive challenge in the World Series car but one that I will thoroughly enjoy. There are some very physical corners there such as Eau Rouge, Pouhon and Blanchimont and I will need to get used to the revised Bus Stop Chicane very quickly as we only have a limited amount of track time before qualifying."

"We made some good progress in Hungary," he continued. "We are in the ballpark to benefit from the reverse grid* now so there is no reason why we can't start challenging for higher positions. The World Series by Renault is a new challenge for me and also for Fortec but we're learning together and I think all the hard work will start to pay off now."

The World Series teams have a test session on Thursday afternoon (16 Aug) before qualifying takes place on Friday at 1620hrs. Race one is scheduled for Saturday at 1600hrs with race two getting underway on Sunday at 1045hrs.
