MOVING SWIFTLY ON!

Nurburgring, Germany -- 31 August 2008: James Walker had a tough time at the Nurburgring this weekend; after running in the top three in testing the Jersey racer was unable to finish the first race and had to fight to recover position in race two.

In race one James started 18th and was up to 10th after the first corner, managing to avoid the aftermath of a mid-pack collision between Alvaro Barba and Miguel Molina. Unfortunately he picked up a double puncture which put a premature end to his race.

As he didn't finish race one James had to start way back in 23rd for race two. He started well and survived a chaotic opening lap, gaining a couple of positions along the way. His plan was to stop at the end of the pit window but he came in early as he got stuck in a queue of traffic. After the stop he made good progress and finished the race in 14th place, by no means where he wanted to be but it was a good finish considering his grid position.

"I'm pleased we have another race meeting next weekend as it means I can quickly put the nightmares of the Nurburgring behind me," said James after race two.

From Germany James now heads off to France for the Le Mans rounds of the 2008 World Series by Renault.
