Pippa Mann and the Cram by P1 Europe team will be back on the track this weekend in the Hungarian city of Budapest, as the World Series by Renault arrives for the fourth event of the 2007 championship. This will be Mann's first time around the Hungaroring and she will be keen to step out onto the circuit for Friday's practice sessions to begin learning the track ahead of Saturday morning qualifying.

Normally, an underused circuit becomes faster over the weekend as the track rubbers in; however, with the Hungaroring this generally does not happen because the track can get dusty so quickly. Due to the nature of the circuit - twisty and dusty off the racing line - overtaking is rare, making this qualifying session perhaps more important than most.

The good news for Mann and the team is that a shoulder injury, which has plagued her since the beginning of the season, has healed well and is not expected to cause the WSR rookie any problems.

"The readings on my shoulder are now normal," said Mann, "so the tendon is in theory fully repaired. I still have to be a little careful as it's all new tissue and therefore not as strong as it should be yet, but hopefully I'll be able to drive the car without it causing me any pain, which is great."

Mann spoke of her expectations going into the race weekend: "Although I've never been to Hungary before I'm looking forward to it. It feels like I've been out of the car for far too long! I'm optimistic we can have a good weekend still aiming for a top 15 position in both races, but a lot will depend on where we qualify and obviously the first race and pitstop! If we can get those right, we should be looking good!"
