COLLECTIVE TESTING IN THE CIRCUIT OF MONTMELO' ARE CONCLUDED
The second day of collective testing of the World Series by Renault in Spain is concluded.
The third turn of four hours, in the morning of 14 March, has seen Davide Valsecchi of the Ipsilon team at the top of the charts. The drivers of the Draco team have preferred to focus their attention on the set up of the car, in forecast of the first race of Championship. At the end of the morning, Alvaro Barba has closed in 8th place with a best lap of 1' 32" 17, while Milos Pavlovic only in 16th place with 21 laps and a best time of 1' 32" 731.
In the afternoon the Portuguese driver of the Tech 1, Alvaro Parente, has earned the "pole", while Draco's drivers have closed in 7th and 10th place.
NADIA MORINI TEAM MANAGER DRACO:
"We have made a good work. We have preferred to pay more attention to the race and we have neglected the times in the tests. We didn't used the last new tyres for Barba. We are satisfied of this first collective testing session: we have very good drivers!"
"In these two days I have worked only for the race. This evening, if we had used the third new tyre set, I could have had the first time, but we have thought that it was better to hold it for the next tests. However, I have been fast with old tyres and good tyres and I have made good times. I have made a good work with my team because we are in harmony and every change is a progress."
"I have worked hardly, but I'm not realized the best of me. We have changed the engine but we must still verify it because I'm not obtained a good performance. We have worked a lot for the set up race and I think that working hardly is the key for the success."
