Draco Team heats his engines: all ready for the beginning of the 2009 Championship this weekend in Barcelona

The fifth edition of the championship World Series by Renault is ready with the first race of the 2009 season the 18 April in the Montmèlo circuit in Barcelona, where the last season had just completed 6 months ago.

The circus of the 14 Team and 28 drivers resumed where from it had stopped, with some important changes that will make a more exciting championship. First of all the technical changes: the cars developed by Renault Sport Technologies, reflecting changes in Formula 1, will have cleaner lines, without the aerodynamic structures of the past years, with a reduced downforce and a higher top speed. Big news on the field of Communication and Media: all World Series 3.5 races will be broadcast live on Eurosport, the biggest television sports network on satellite in Europe available in 54 countries and 18 different languages, with 2 hours of transmission every weekend and 26 minutes of the program summary for the 3 categories Renault. Regarding the appointment of Barcelona, the live is scheduled for 13:45 on Saturday 18 and 13:00 on Sunday 19 April, coinciding with the 2 races. The television coverage also extends to Spain TV3 and Canal Speed.

After the excellent results obtained in winter collective tests, Draco Team opened the season with great enthusiasm maintaining the deployment of 2008: the two Draco drivers are in fact the Belgian Bertrand Baguette and the Spanish Marco Barba.

Tomorrow, Friday 17 April, the Team will be involved in the 2 rounds of free practice and then it performs the Qualifying the next day.
