According to the Brembo engineers, the drivers slow down hard by 172 km/h directly ahead of turn 1. The energy released in the process is 2,370 kilowatts! A full 5.6 G presses the drivers into the cockpit and it’s with 143 kilograms that they have to push on the brake.
