Four teams and seven drivers were present at today's test session at the Circuit de Catalunya, Barcelona and in sunny conditions Renault's Jarno Trulli topped the times for the second day in a row. The Italian covered 78 laps and clocked a fastest of 1.17.736 in the R202, two seconds better than the quickest of the rest of the field -- although he was simulating a qualifying run, which could explain his advantage.

Enrique Bernoldi repeated yesterday's second fastest for Arrows in the A23 whilst Jordan's Giancarlo Fisichella joined the testing in third. Team mate Takuma Sato was fourth; both drivers experienced chassis related problems with the EJ12, resulting in Sato abandoning his race distance simulation.

Mark Webber was in action for Minardi but suffered electrical gremlins throughout the day and managed only 13 laps in fifth. Renault test driver and ex-Minardi man Fernando Alonso rounded up the bottom of the time sheets -- suffering numerous electrical problems in the B201, he failed to set a lap time.
