"After the last Grand Prix, I have been able to come back home to England, and spend a bit of time at the Enstone factory in preparation for Monaco," Trulli told the RenaultF1 website. "The team was working frantically because this unusual race requires special aerodynamic parts which have to be made in record time."

While Renault gears up for Monaco, Trulli has a little more time on his hands. The team opted for Friday testing on race weekends, which means it's usually test driver Allan McNish who carries out the other ten days testing Renault is permitted.

"It gives me time to do some training," Trulli explained as he prepared to fly out to the Principality. "And there's always something to do, especially on the promotional side for Renault. I don't mind doing my bit. It is part of being a F1 driver, after all."

As for the Monaco GP, the Italian thinks the Renault R23 will be suited to the circuit and is hopeful of good results: "It is one of the most important races of the season," he commented. "The R23 should handle well there. It requires a lot of concentration on the part of the driver, and he must feel 100% confident if he is to do a good lap. I am quite confident."
