Fresh from the Michelin Race of Champions in Gran Canaria last weekend, Cristiano da Matta has been busy continuing to settle into Formula 1 life this week. The Brazilian conducted a 4-day test session for Panasonic Toyota Racing at Circuit Paul Ricard in the south of France. Driving the TF102B interim car, Da Matta completed 170 laps of the 5.803-km track layout, working on Michelin tyre test for 2003 and various car set-up items.

"For my first time in the TF102B, we did not complete as many laps as we would have liked. Having said that, what we did this week was positive, and showed up areas on the car that we need to work on most. Overall I am happy and I feel that we are making good progress. I am looking forward to getting back behind the wheel next week."

Cristiano is joined at Circuit Paul Ricard next week by team-mate Olivier Panis. The session takes place from 10-13 December with Da Matta in the TF102 and Panis in the TF102B.
