Panasonic Toyota Racing has carried out its final pre-season test session at its home circuit of Paul Ricard in the south of France this weekend. Both drivers Mika Salo and Allan McNish were present during the three-day session and concentrated on car set-up for the Australian Grand Prix in two weeks' time.

Allan McNish (16-17 February)

Track length: 5.875km

Total distance completed:
Mika Salo: 267km
Allan McNish: 418km

Weather conditions:
Bad weather conditions on the first two days with extremely heavy rain and cloud, particularly on Saturday. Dry conditions on the final day but remaining overcast.

Allan McNish:
"We had some really bad weather on Saturday, making it impossible to drive, but conditions improved today. We did some small tuning work in preparation for our first ever Grand Prix in Melbourne and we additionally worked on launch and traction control."

Mika and Allan have completed in excess of 6,000 kilometres between them at seven different test sessions since January. Next stop for the Panasonic Toyota Racing team will be Australia for the opening Grand Prix of the 2002 season in Melbourne.
