Bad weather has hampered Toyota's three-day test session at Magny-Cours in France, which ended today. Heavy rain and wind gusts of up to 70 kmh limited running at the French Grand Prix circuit for both drivers, Mika Salo and Allan McNish.

Both drivers completed just over 150 laps of the track between them during the session. The team used the wet conditions to carry out wet tyre testing, as well as work on wet weather mapping and electronics.

"We had limited running in dry conditions. In fact the track was never totally dry, which meant that work we did was on electronics," said Allan McNish. "It was the first time I have ever driven a modern F1 car in the wet and it was certainly an experience:"

The persistent wet weather also meant that the lap times recorded were less significant. The best times of the session were:

Allan McNish 1m 19.16s 81 laps completed
Mika Salo 1m 20.10s 75 laps completed
