Olivier Panis today concluded his second test session for the Panasonic Toyota Racing team in Barcelona. He again did some work on the Michelin tyres, as well as some long runs in the afternoon, completing a total of 64 laps in a best time of 1m17.609s - that is 218 laps over the last three days at the Catalunya circuit.

Olivier Panis

"Today we had a different plan to yesterday, but had a few minor difficulties during the session. I have to say though, that it has been a busy day and the mechanics have done a fabulous job to make all the necessary changes. Their quick work and reactions meant we did not loose too much time. Overall I am very positive. We did some more tests with the Michelin tyres and I did some competitive long runs towards the end of the session. After two tests with Toyota I feel extremely pleased, especially with the ability and motivation of the team. Next week in Paul Ricard we have to continue in this direction."

Olivier joins Cristiano da Matta at Circuit Paul Ricard for a 4-day test session from 10-13 December - the final test of 2002. The Frenchman will be behind the wheel of the TF102B interim car, whilst Da Matta returns to the TF102. A full report will be issued at the end of the test.
