Olivier Panis today began another three-day test for Panasonic Toyota Racing at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona today. The team completed its scheduled programme for the day with the Frenchman completing 80 laps of the 4.73-kilometre Spanish track in the 2002 TF102 race car.
"I have switched to the 2002 race car for this week's test and it was a very good first day for us. We managed 80 laps, which is a reasonable amount, working again on general car set-up and for me to learn this car. We still have many things to do to continue improving, but it has been a positive start to my second test with the team."
Olivier will continue at the Circuit de Catalunya tomorrow for the second day of this week's test. Cristiano da Matta is also in action this week at Circuit Paul Ricard in the south of France. Panasonic Toyota Racing will issue a full report from the four-day test on Thursday.
