Toyota is the first F1 team to announce a launch date for its 2008 challenger, the TF108 to be revealed at its Cologne base on January 10th. The top management and drivers will be on hand to start Toyota's seventh year in the sport and in the mean time preparations for 2008 are already under way on the test track.

Jarno Trulli, who left Renault to join the Japanese squad late in 2004, is contracted for next year, while 2007 GP2 champ and former BMW Sauber tester Timo Glock was recently confirmed as a race driver for the new season. The team has said farewell to Franck Montagny and Kamui Kobayashi will take his place as official third driver.

Toyota had a difficult time this year and, with Trulli and Ralf Schumacher driving, finished sixth overall in the constructors' standings with 13 points. The team's best result since its F1 debut in 2002 was fourth in 2005, also with Trulli and Schumacher behind the wheel.
