Toro Rosso has become the latest Formula 1 team to pass the mandatory crash tests ahead of the start of pre-season testing.
The Faenza-based squad announced on Wednesday that its STR11, which has been rumoured to included a Mercedes-style short nose, has been homologated.
Toro Rosso's new car will also feature a longer wheelbase and will be powered by Ferrari engines.
Max Verstappen said earlier this week he expected the new package to help his team gain a full second compared to last year.
"It will be between eight tenths and a second, which is, of course, a lot", Verstappen told Dutch television show Peptalk.
