Nico Rosberg isn't ready to give up on winning this year's Formula 1 title yet, despite having been beaten at all four Grands Prix so far in 2015 by Lewis Hamilton.
The 29-year-old has yet to win a race this season, his best results being a pair of second places in Australia and China, and is already 27 points adrift of Mercedes teammate Hamilton.
Rosberg appeared to have rediscovered some of his fighting spirit on Sunday with a race punctuated by overtaking moves, but he ultimately finished third due to a brake problem that allowed Kimi Raikkonen to pass unhindered in the closing stages.
Writing in a column for German newspaper Bild, Rosberg said: "I can't buy much with third place.
"I don't even care if it's Kimi or Seb [Vettel] overtaking me, and the distance to Lewis in the world championship has unfortunately also grown.
"Fortunately, the season is still very long," he added.
"I can't hide my disappointment"
Nonetheless, Rosberg's dejected body language on the podium afterwards was clear for all to see.
"I can't always hide my disappointment," the German admitted.
"Maybe I'm just not a good actor. It's just who I am."
Rosberg has now returned to his home in Monaco, where he has been reunited with his pregnant wife Vivian.
"I flew home immediately and was there the next morning. When I saw my wife - who is now almost one-and-a-half women - the frustration was gone.
"Now I want to be home for a while before Barcelona, catching up on some sleep to recover from the long journeys at the start of the season."
