Testing winds up

The week's test programme wound up on Friday, as teams concluded their schedules in Spain. Michael Schumacher topped the times at Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya, 1:14.685 the best of the day for the Ferrari man. Team test driver Luca Badoer was fourth on the time sheet.

Renault's Fernando Alonso had a consistent week, finishing second fastest every day. Today he was half a second off the lead Ferrari. Reanult test driver Franck Montagny rounded off the times in sixth.

Sauber's Felipe Massa was third quickest at Catalunya, racking up the most laps of the day with 109. The Brazilian worked on aerodynamics and tyres to wind up Sauber's test week. Jaguar test driver Björn Wirdheim was fifth fastest.

At Jerez Jenson Button set the best of the day, 1:17.195 for the BAR driver. Team tester Anthony Davidson was third quickest. Wiliams wrapped up their test with Marc Gené second on the time sheet and Antonio Pizzonia sixth. Both worked on set up, system checks and tyres.

Toyota's Cristiano da Matta and tester Ryan Briscoe finished off the Jerez times in seventh and eighth respectively. Tyres were the main focus of the test, as well as electronics and traction control.
