Formula One teams unite in Jerez to send best wishes to Kubica
In a display on unified compassion, all the Formula One teams arrived on the first of a four day test at Jerez, Spain with sinage wishing a speedy recovery to Robert Kubica as the Renault driver continues to make good progress.
As the second pre-season F1 test of the year began, all cars contained a Polish 'Szybkiego powrotu do zdrowia Robert' on their cars. Translated, the phrase means "Get well soon Robert."
The public show of support for the seriously injured driver comes alongside continuing news of his improvement from the Santa Corona hospital where he is recovering from the rally driver which may ultimately keep him out for the entire season.
Reports have confirmed Kubica has left the intensive care unit and has been moved to a normal ward. His foot and humerus are the next limbs to be operated on before any further surgery on his elbow on Monday.
Kubica is then expected to return to the intensive care unit for post-surgery observations and that the Renault driver could, according to Italian media reports, be discharged from hospital as early as next week.
