31 January 2008 -- Formula One racing's governing body, the FIA, has confirmed the timetable for the 2008 Formula 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix. The inaugural Singapore event, which will be first ever Grand Prix to be held at night, will take place on Sunday, September 28.

The race will start under the floodlights at 2000 hours local time. The qualifying sessions on Saturday and the second Friday practice session will also run after sunset.

In order allow the drivers to become accustomed to the new track in daylight, the first practice on Friday 26th September will take place from 1600-1730 hours, before the second session is run after dark, from 2000-2130 hours.

The final Formula 1 practice session on Saturday will run from 1700-1800 hours, with the qualifying sessions starting after sunset at 2000 hours. Further announcements will shortly confirm the timings of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, Formula BMW Pacific and other supporting events.
