Michael Schumacher is hoping to take his seventh Canadian Grand Prix win this weekend but is keeping a wary eye on challengers BAR. Schumacher debates that Ferrari is as dominant as it seems, citing the McLaren of Kimi Raikkonen as a help in the European GP, albeit an inadvertent one.

"We are not as dominant as we might seem from the outside," Schumacher told the media in Montreal on Thursday. "The reason we won convincingly at the N?rburgring was that Raikkonen got into second place and held up the rest of the field."

"I am sure it would have been a different story if Button had been on the front row of the grid. The BAR-Honda package is very strong and I think they will be very competitive here in Canada, but so will we."

The German is perhaps a little surprised how well the season is going: "To be honest, in January and February, we were a bit worried and expected a closer fight," he admitted. "But we have worked very hard to have such a good package and that is the reason for our success so far this year."

Lucky seven this weekend for Schumacher could be not only his seventh Canadian victory, but also his seventh win of this season. If he continues with his dominant success rate, another milestone seven could be his -- that of his seventh world championship title.

"I hope to make it seven come Sunday," said Schumacher in regard to his Canadian wins, five of which have been with Ferrari. "And I also hope to see the number seven feature again at the end of the season."
