Michael Schumacher is happy and satisfied with Ferrari’s one-two finish at the Hungaroring, which brought the Scuderia the Constructors’ title. Not only that, Michael is also pleased that team-mate Barrichello won the race as he continues to fight for the runner-up slot in the Drivers’ Championship.

“We have won the Constructors’ title with four races to go. We knew we would do it, but not when. Now we have done it and done it in style, in the best way possible by finishing first and second,” said Schumacher. “I think our success stems from the intensity and thoroughness of our work. I am happy for the team, for Rubens and also for myself."

"This fourth consecutive Constructors’ title shows what a fantastic job the entire team has done and how reliable we are. Part of the success is down to Bridgestone and our collaboration with them. The work we do together is intense and of the highest level. I think ours is the first case of such close cooperation between a constructor and a tyre manufacturer and I am proud to be part of that relationship.”

Asked if Ferrari’s superiority might be eroded soon, Michael replied: “Why should it? In sport there are positive and negative times. We have seen a Williams era and a McLaren era. I hope that ours lasts as long as possible.”
