Michael Schumacher is confident in the Ferrari F2003-GA, which is due to debut at the Spanish Grand Prix this weekend, and believes the reliability problems have been sorted out. Ferrari delayed the introduction of the new car when testing proved it was not as reliable as was hoped but now it's all systems go.

"After exhaustive tests in the last few weeks there's no longer any question mark concerning its reliability," Schumacher said on his website. "I'm delighted with the new car, we know it's even faster than the car in which we won the title."

"When you're a driver, you never can get enough speed. I know that I can totally rely on the people at Ferrari and I'm certain the car will be competitive."

The German claimed his first win of the season at the last race in San Marino, putting to rest the rumours that Ferrari was struggling. The F2002 was the team's most successful car to date, and is still competitive, but it's time to make way for the F2003-GA.

It's still yet to be seen when McLaren will introduce the MP4-18 -- team boss Ron Dennis said at Imola it could be as late as Canada. But with the new Ferrari on track it's unlikely McLaren will delay too long, if the F2003-GA is as fast as reported.
