Team Sauber Petronas completed its third day of testing in Silverstone today in preparation to the Canadian and British Grands Prix. Nick Heidfeld covered 41 laps and set the 12th time of 1m23.947s.

Jacky Eeckelaert:

"It's been a frustrating and disappointing day today. The weather forecast was more promising than yesterday, but it rained early on in the day and after that intermittent showers and red flag incidents interrupted our program. Nevertheless this morning we continued our aerodynamic program for the British Grand Prix and were also able to do some further damper development. This afternoon we switched to testing tyres for Montreal Grand Prix and some special developments for Bridgestone".

Nick Heidfeld:

"The most interesting part of my day was when I hit a black bird or a crow just before Bridge corner. It just flew straight into my helmet. But when I came into the garage to check the car, everything was OK. The rest of the day was not easy. The circuit would dry out. You'd make a change to the car and then as soon as you went out to try it it would start to rain again. Every other time the circuit was clear there would be a red flag. Ironically the best time of the day was between 1 and 2 pm which was the lunchbreak."
