Eponymous team boss Peter Sauber is not yet ready to make decisions about drivers for his team next year but admits he is keeping an eye on the driver's market. Sauber have risen to be a competitive team with their good form of last season continuing in 2002.

Fourth overall in the Constructors' championship in 2001, Sauber are regularly scoring points this year with drivers Nick Heidfeld and Felipe Massa. The team catapulted Kimi Raikkonen to success when he was snapped up by McLaren after a good season with Sauber in 2001.

Peter Sauber is happy with his driver pairing for 2002 but said it's his responsibility as a team boss to know what is going on: "Since the beginning of the year, both Felipe and Nick drive strong races, perfect races,' he said.

"I am not ready to open the chapter of drivers yet, but as a responsible Team Manager it is one of my duties to exactly know who is available on the market and why or when and of course at what price and for what results."

"I am not about to comment on speculation about those drivers mentioned, but I am also not about to rule anything out that may happen at Team Sauber Petronas in the future."

"Anything can happen and I will fulfil my duties which is to know who is available and what they can do for Sauber. Team Sauber Petronas are perfectly happy with our two drivers, but it is still June and too early to start talking about what we decide in Mid August this year."
